In a significant stride towards self-reliance in defence technology, Adani Defence & Aerospace unveiled its first indigenously manufactured Drishti 10 Starliner Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for the Indian Navy. The UAV, equipped with advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, is set to bolster the country’s maritime operations.
Advanced Features of Drishti 10 Starliner UAV
The Drishti 10 Starliner boasts a remarkable 36 hours of endurance and a payload capacity of 450 kg. Notably, it is the only all-weather military platform certified by NATO’s STANAG 4671, ensuring airworthiness for the UAV system in both segregated and unsegregated airspace. This certification sets it apart, making it a pivotal asset for the Indian Navy.

Certified for Naval Maritime Operations
The UAV, now unveiled in Hyderabad, will be transported to Porbandar for induction into naval maritime operations. This marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards enhancing its maritime surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.
Admiral R Hari Kumar Commends Adani’s Efforts
Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral R Hari Kumar, praised Adani Defence & Aerospace for aligning its roadmap with the Navy’s needs. He acknowledged the establishment of an ecosystem of partners and capabilities, emphasizing the transformative step towards ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in defence and security.
Admiral Kumar stated, “Drishti 10’s integration will enhance our naval capabilities, strengthening our preparedness in the ever-evolving maritime surveillance and reconnaissance.”
