Ahmedabad, 3rd January 2024: Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), India’s leading energy and city gas distribution company, and Shigan Quantum Technologies Limited (Shigan), an alternative fuel system solutions provider, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on decarbonizing the supply chain. The aim is to create an ecosystem facilitating the transition to cleaner fuels such as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
Key Highlights of the MoU
- Retrofitting ICE Engines: The collaboration will explore retrofitting Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) engines to run on alternate fuels like CNG and LNG. The primary focus will be on transportation and mining applications.
- Scope of Collaboration: The partners will extend their collaboration to various applications, including stationary engines, locomotives, and marine equipment, contributing to the broader development of a sustainable ecosystem.
- E-Mobility Solutions: The collaboration will explore e-mobility-based solutions for last-mile delivery players, aligning with the growing trend towards electric vehicles.
- Green Hydrogen Usage: The partnership will investigate use cases for green hydrogen as a fuel for ICE vehicles, furthering the commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
