Introduction
In a bid to accommodate the increased number of passengers during the Christmas and New Year vacation, the Indian Railways has decided to run 14 special trains between Panvel and Madgaon. This move aims to provide convenient travel options for those planning to celebrate the festive season away from home.
Panvel-Madgaon Specials (12 Trips)
Schedule
The Panvel – Madgaon specials, numbered 01427/01428, will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from December 22, 2023, to December 31, 2023. The service includes a total of 12 trips.
Departure and Arrival
- Departure from Panvel at 21.10 hrs (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Arrival at Madgaon Jn. at 6.50 hrs next day
Return Journey
- Departure from Madgaon Jn. at 8.00 hrs (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Arrival at Panvel at 20.15 hrs same day
Halts
The trains will make stops at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali.
Composition
The train consists of 22 LHB Coaches, including 6 AC 3-Tier Economy, 4 Sleeper Class, 12 General Second Class, and a Guard’s Brake Van.
Panvel-Madgaon New Year Specials (2 Trips)
Schedule
To ring in the New Year, the Panvel – Madgaon specials, numbered 01429/01430, will have two additional trips.
Departure and Arrival
- Departure from Madgaon Jn. at 21.00 hrs on January 1, 2024
- Arrival at Panvel at 07.20 hrs next day
- Departure from Panvel at 8.20 hrs on January 2, 2024
- Arrival at Madgaon Jn. at 21.30 hrs same day
Halts
Similar to the regular specials, these trains will halt at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali.
