Bengaluru – In a significant development, the Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express is set to expand its reach, now connecting all the way to Belagavi. This extension comes as per the recent approval from the Railway Board, as shared by Rajya Sabha MP Iranna Kadadi in a tweet.
Extended Schedule Details
According to the approved order, the train numbered 20661, the KSR Bengaluru – Dharwad Vande Bharat Express, will commence its journey from KSR Bengaluru at 05:45 hours. The train is scheduled to reach Belagavi at 13:30 hours, providing a convenient and efficient travel option for passengers.

Return Journey Schedule
For the return journey, the train numbered 20662, Belagavi – KSR Bengaluru, will depart from Belagavi at 14:00 hours, reaching KSR Bengaluru at 22:10 hours. This extension not only connects major cities but also offers a well-timed and streamlined service for travelers.

Railway Board’s Directives
In addition to approving the extension, the Railway Board has instructed the respective zonal railways to initiate the extension services at the earliest convenient date. This move aims to enhance connectivity and accessibility for passengers traveling between these prominent cities.

Once the direct link between Dharwad- Belgaum via Kittur is completed the travel time will reduce considerably. Railways must concentrate on finishing the project which is yet to take off.
