Gautam Adani Announces INR 6,000 Cr Donation for Affordable Healthcare and Medical Education Through Adani Health City
In a landmark move to revolutionize healthcare in India, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has announced the establishment of two state-of-the-art 1000-bed multi super-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. These facilities will be part of the Adani Health City (AHC) initiative, implemented through the Group’s not-for-profit healthcare arm.
The Adani family has committed over INR 6,000 Cr to fund the first two integrated health campuses, aligning with Gautam Adani’s philosophy of “सेवा साधना है, सेवा प्रार्थना है और सेवा ही परमात्मा है” (Service is worship, service is prayer, and service is the ultimate goal). The initiative aims to provide affordable, world-class medical care and education to people across all socio-economic backgrounds.
Each AHC campus will feature medical colleges with an annual intake of 150 undergraduate students, 80+ residents, and 40+ fellows, alongside cutting-edge research facilities and step-down care units. The project also emphasizes clinical research, artificial intelligence, and biomedical informatics to train the next generation of doctors and advance medical innovation.

Gautam Adani revealed that this initiative is part of a larger INR 60,000 Cr commitment made by his family two years ago to improve healthcare, education, and skill development in India. “Adani Health City is the first step towards providing affordable, world-class healthcare to every section of Indian society,” he stated.
This ambitious project is expected to set a new benchmark in India’s healthcare landscape, combining affordability, innovation, and accessibility for millions.
