The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed an important agreement with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. They will develop Shivpuri Airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). This agreement, signed on 10th October, aims to improve air travel in the state and promote economic growth.

The deal includes the operation and maintenance of the airport, as well as providing advanced air traffic management services. The airport will initially handle smaller 19-seater planes, with plans to expand for larger ATR-72 aircraft in the future.

The state government will soon transfer 292 acres of land to AAI to begin the development. This initiative is expected to enhance air connectivity and boost tourism and business opportunities in the region.
