Bengaluru, July 11, 2024: Tata Elxsi, a leading global design and technology services company, and global automation firm Emerson have launched the Tata Elxsi + NI Mobility Innovation Centre (TENMIC) in Bengaluru. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to accelerate automotive innovation with advanced systems, software solutions, and global automotive expertise.
The inauguration event was led by Manoj Raghavan, MD & CEO of Tata Elxsi; Ritu Favre, President of the Test and Measurement Business Group at Emerson; and Drita Roggenbuck, VP & GM of the Transportation Business Unit at Emerson. The event was attended by senior technology and R&D leaders from global OEMs, leading automotive suppliers, and semiconductor companies, underscoring the significance of TENMIC in advancing automotive development and innovation.
As the automotive industry evolves with software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and the integration of digital technologies, the demand for rapid innovation to develop, validate, and release new features swiftly while ensuring reliability, safety, and performance is increasing. TENMIC aligns with these industry trends by enabling OEMs to ‘shift left’—validating performance and functionality through a mix of virtual and physical testing well before production. This approach emphasizes automation, agility, and the transformative impact of data and AI-led methodologies on the product development lifecycle.
TENMIC combines advanced technologies and systems from Emerson’s Test & Measurement business (formerly NI) with Tata Elxsi’s deep expertise in automotive engineering, data analytics, and digitalization.
