SOM Distilleries to invest Rs. 75 Crores towards Capacity addition in Karnataka

Woodpecker Distilleries and Breweries Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Som Distilleries and Breweries Limited, operates in Hassan city, Karnataka, India.

The current capacity of Som Distilleries’ unit in Karnataka stands at approximately 90 lakh cases. With the expansion plans, the company aims to increase this capacity by an additional 60 lakh cases. Consequently, the Karnataka facility will have a total capacity of 1.5 crores cases. The estimated expenditure for this expansion is projected to be around Rs. 75 crores.

The capacity expansion is scheduled to become operational by March or April 2024.
