NTPC Green Energy Partners with Rajasthan for Renewable Energy
In a significant step towards promoting green energy, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has taken decisive action. A subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan.
This partnership aims to develop renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 25 gigawatts (GW) across the state.
MoU Signed at Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet
The agreement was signed on September 30, 2024, during the Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet held in New Delhi.
The MoU was exchanged between Shri K S Sundaram, Director of Projects at NGEL, and Shri Alok. Shri Alok is the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) of Rajasthan. The exchange occurred in the presence of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
Supporting Clean Energy Growth in Rajasthan
This collaboration marks a major development in Rajasthan’s efforts to promote renewable energy. Senior officials from both the Rajasthan government and NGEL were present at the event. This presence signaled strong support for the future of renewable energy in the region.
