The project’s proposed alignment is the “Construction of New BG Line for a route length of 11.60 km between Hadihalli and Belur stations,” excluding Hadihalli yard. The objective is to construct a single line with an Absolute Block System, capable of supporting a maximum train speed of 110 km/h, initially accommodating an axle load of 25 tonnes.
Broad Scope of the work
The project involves building a new railway line between Chainage 54.880 Km and Chainage 66.480 Km. This includes General Electrical and Electrification Work between Hadihalli and Belur, covering a distance of 11.60 km. The project is part of the Kadur – Chikkamagaluru – Belur New Line Project.
The goal of the project is to create a single railway line with an “absolute block system” for trains to travel at a maximum speed of 110 km/h, initially supporting a load of 25 tonnes per axle. The project covers the construction of the track, bridges, and other necessary structures to accommodate this load.
The contract includes the design and construction of civil structures, buildings, electrical systems, signals, telecommunication, and track components for the new railway line. The project encompasses the construction of the following:
- 5 major bridges,
- 21 minor bridges
- 3 road under bridges
- 6 road over bridges including approaches
