Praj Industries Begins Operations at Genx Facility Near Mangalore for ETCA Sectors

Mangalore, Karnataka — Praj GenX, a new subsidiary of Praj Industries, has officially commenced commercial production at its cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Padubidri, Udupi. The plant began operations in February 2024, marking a significant step forward in the company’s efforts to serve the growing Energy Transition and Climate Action (ETCA) sectors.

The facility, sprawling over 128,671 square meters of covered space and an additional 58,064 square meters of open area, is equipped with advanced engineering and sophisticated robotics systems. Designed according to Industry 5.0 principles and integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT), the plant is set to revolutionize the manufacturing of large-size process modules and heavy equipment for ETCA.

In a noteworthy development, Praj GenX recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kemppi India Pvt. Ltd. to establish a welding training center on-site. This center will provide Virtual Reality (VR) based training for welders, highlighting the company’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology for skill development.

The commencement of operations at this state-of-the-art facility underscores Praj GenX’s dedication to supporting the energy transition and climate action initiatives, reinforcing its position as a key player in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
