Mysuru’s Vinyas innovative technology signs MOU with Bengaluru-based Printalytix and Chennai-based E-Plane to make UAVs, Drones, and E-Planes in Mysuru.

The MOU

Vinyas innovative technologies are one of India’s reputed companies based out of Mysuru. They excel in outsourced Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and have carved a niche in that segment.

Printalytix is based out of Bengaluru and has been one of India’s most successful startups which specializes in the design, prototyping, and manufacturing of complex mechanical systems.

E-Plane is an IIT Madras incubated “startup” company started with the sole purpose of making peoples’ commutes within the city simple, fast, and easy. They are building India’s first, revolutionary E-plane that can unleash the concept of “flying taxis”. Though they have the technology and know-how to make them, they still need partners to make these E-planes and drones commercially viable.  That’s where Vinyas and Printalytix walk in, and together they aim to make these products in Mysuru.

Mysuru’s strength in Electronic Manufacturing

Mysuru is seen catapulting into the big boys club of “movers and shakers” of  Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs), Drones, and E-Taxi manufacturing. The city has an excellent ecosystem of companies with advanced Electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) capabilities. Also, many electronic component makers and suppliers who contribute significantly to the “Make in India” initiatives are based there. They even import components if there is a need.

So, the city’s progression from making simple electronic gadgets some years ago to making state-of-the-art UAVs, Drones, and E-Taxis now has been phenomenal.

Drones, UAVs and E-Taxis

Drones and UAVs are becoming part of our normal life. UAVs are mostly used for getting information from remote, inaccessible areas captured through attached cameras. They are extensively used in filmmaking nowadays.  Drones have multi-purpose roles.  They are slowly becoming a part of our lives too – from spraying pesticides on crops to transporting goods to remote/ difficult-to-reach areas to firing missiles at enemies deep inside the enemy territory. Man has just scratched the surface as for as drone usage is concerned. The sky is the limit of what all we can do with drones.

Network-centric warfare

The twenty-first-century warfare is becoming increasingly Network-centric with sophisticated electronics driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) driving it. Whatever drones see deep inside the enemy territory, the military folks sitting inside the mission-control room thousands of miles away can also see. The firing of missiles is initiated with the touch of the screen. It looks like, war has become child’s play, and is that simple because of the advancement of technology.

Knowledge-based manufacturing companies will win

This is where companies like Vindyas Innovative Technologies with decades of experience in ESDM play a pivotal role in enabling India’s march into the 21st century with self-confidence like a lion.
