About NH -69

National Highway-69 originates starts with its junction with NH-66 near Honnavara connecting Sagara, Shivamoga, Sira, Gauribidanuru, Chikkaballapura, Mulbagal in Karnataka and Palamaner, Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh terminating its junction with NH-40 near Chittoor in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

  • The project route provides a major connectivity to Mangalore port for the traffic from Karnataka/Andhra Pradesh border, Chikkaballapura, Kolar and surrounding area.
  • Srinivaspura, known as Land of World famous Mangoes, the project stretch carries major traffic of HMV and HGMV category vehicles for Export of mangoes to different parts of the Country.

Project brief

The Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways will construct the Srinivasapura Bypass from existing Km 453.890 (Design Ch. 0+000) to existing Km 461.450 (Design Ch 10+080) on the NH-69 in the State of Karnataka Under NH (O) in EPC mode under Annual Plan 2022-23. The bypass lane configuration will be 2 lanes with paved shoulders on either side. 

Estimated Cost: INR 116.07Cr (Inclusive of GST)

Maintenance period: 05 Years
