Jammu & Kashmir, Oct, 16 2023: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, recently shared exciting news about the successful completion of a significant infrastructure project in the state. The project involved the construction of a 224-meter viaduct with two lanes at Sherebibi, at an estimated cost of Rs 12 Crore.
This remarkable infrastructure development is part of the Ramban to Banihal section of National Highway-44. Shri Gadkari highlighted the importance of this 224-meter segment, which not only shortens the travel distance by 125 meters but also eliminates the need for a steep cutting with a hill slope angle exceeding 80 degrees.
Additionally, it greatly improves the flow of vehicles, making it easier to navigate the challenging terrain of Sherebibi Area gradients.
