Gandhinagar, India — Cognizant, a global leader in technology and professional services, today announced its plans. The company will establish a cutting-edge techfin centre in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). This new centre will be located in Gandhinagar. Set to launch by February 2025, the techfin centre will serve as a strategic hub. Initially, the facility will accommodate 500 employees, with plans to expand its workforce to 2,000 over the next three years.

These companies are looking to strengthen their presence in India,” said Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. He highlighted how Cognizant’s move reflects Gujarat’s ability to attract world-class enterprises and foster innovation. The Chief Minister emphasized GIFT City’s state-of-the-art infrastructure. He said the business-friendly policies position it as a global financial and technology hub. This is crucial for India’s economic and technological advancement.
Cognizant is known for helping BFSI clients accelerate digital transformation. They enhance customer experiences and ensure regulatory compliance. The company serves many of the world’s top financial institutions. These clients include 17 of the top 20 North American financial institutions. They also include 9 of the top 10 European banks. The company serves several global insurers and life carriers.
