In a significant development, Ayodhya Airport has been granted the Aerodrome License by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in the public use category, allowing for flight operations under all weather conditions.
Key Milestone Acknowledged:
Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), received the license on 14th December 2023, from Sh. Vikram Dev Dutt, DG, DGCA, in a ceremony held in New Delhi. This achievement is noteworthy as the time-bound project gears up to serve the global community visiting the revered temple town, Ayodhya.

State-of-the-Art Infrastructure:
The airport boasts a 2200m long runway equipped with complete Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGLs) infrastructure. Supported by Doppler Very High Frequency Omni Range (DVOR) and Instrument Landing System (ILS), the airport is designed for day and night operations, as well as low-visibility conditions exceeding 550m.

Collaborative Success:
Officials from both AAI and DGCA worked collaboratively to ensure the successful completion of this crucial project, paving the way for the operationalization of Ayodhya Airport.
Terminal Building and Passenger Capacity:
Anticipation surrounds the much-awaited Ayodhya Airport, featuring a terminal building spanning 6500 sqm. This facility is well-equipped to handle 600 passengers during peak hours and is poised to serve an annual passenger volume of 10 lakh.
With this latest development, Ayodhya Airport is poised to become a key hub for air travel, enhancing connectivity to the sacred destination.
