Next Generation Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of PG Electroplast, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to invest ₹1000 crores in a new mega manufacturing project. The greenfield facility, located in Kamargaon, Ahilyanagar, is set to become a state-of-the-art hub for the production of consumer electronics, including air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and other allied products.
The signing ceremony, held at Sahyadri State Guest House in Mumbai, was attended by several key government officials, including Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of Industries Shri Uday Samant, and other senior leaders. This investment, as part of Maharashtra’s flagship Magnetic Maharashtra initiative, is expected to not only enhance the state’s manufacturing landscape but also generate over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, boosting the region’s consumer electronics ecosystem.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called the MoU a milestone for Maharashtra’s industrial development. He emphasized that the state government will work closely with investors to ensure smooth project execution. “With initiatives like the Maitri Portal and our new energy policy, which reduces power tariffs, Maharashtra is fully committed to accelerating industrial growth,” he stated.
Vishal Gupta, Managing Director – Finance at PG Electroplast, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “This investment showcases PG Group’s dedication to building world-class manufacturing capacities in India. The Kamargaon facility will be highly integrated, strengthening the local components ecosystem and creating large-scale employment opportunities.” He also thanked the state government for its proactive support in making the project a reality.
The new manufacturing plant will not only support the production of essential consumer electronics but will also have a ripple effect on the local economy by fostering skill development, job creation, and industrial innovation.
