Hole Anjaneya Temple, Maddur
When one sets out to travel towards Mysuru from Bengaluru and at Maddur town, takes a deviation towards the rural side, he will see a board indicating the way towards Holey Anjaneya temple.
The temple is just 1.5 Km from there, and he has to travel over the lush green paddy fields to reach the destination. The temple is on the bank of the Shimsha River, and the place is full of massive banyan trees, thus giving it a jungle vibe.

History of Hole Anjaneya Temple & Importance of Mukhya Prana
The Prana Prathishta (consecration) of moola Vigraha was performed by the saint Sripada Raja (1404 AD ~ 1502 AD) and his disciple Sri Vyasa Theertha (1467 AD ~ 1539 AD) around 550 years ago. Both were “Mantra Siddhas” which means they had the realization of mantras that gave them phenomenal spiritual powers.

Lord Narayana has taken ten incarnations (Dasahavatara) to exterminate evil and protect the good. Prana Vayu OR Mukhya Prana (MP) also incarnated three times in three Yugas – Thretha, Dwapara, and Kali.

- By Train: One can take a train either from Bengaluru OR Mysuru city and alight at Maddur. Take an Auto rickshaw to the temple from the railway station.
- By own vehicle: One can drive down to the temple by own vehicle either from Bengaluru OR Mysuru, and the road is good to travel.
- By Busses (KSRTC OR Private): Buses plying between Bengaluru and Mysuru have a stoppage at Maddur. One can alight there and take an autorickshaw to go to the temple.
