Asian Paints Expands Mysuru Plant Capacity to 600,000 KL Annually

Mysuru, Karnataka, June 28, 2024 – Asian Paints has successfully expanded its paint manufacturing plant in Mysuru, Karnataka, doubling the facility’s production capacity to meet the growing market demands. Originally set up with an ultimate production capacity of 600,000 kiloliters (KL) per annum, the Mysuru plant was initially operational with a production capacity of 300,000 KL per annum, which it is currently utilizing at approximately 78%.

To address the medium-term capacity requirements and support its business growth, the Company has increased the installed capacity of the Mysuru plant to 600,000 KL per annum. This expansion has been completed at an investment of approximately Rs. 1,305 crores, which has been entirely funded through internal accruals. This strategic move will enable the Company to enhance its production capabilities and better meet the increasing demand for its products.

The Company received the necessary approval from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in the plant’s operational expansion. The approval ensures that the plant’s increased production capacity complies with environmental regulations and maintains sustainable operational practices.
