Bengaluru, India – March 6, 2025 – Mistral Solutions, a subsidiary of AXISCADES Technologies, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Altera, an Intel company, to transform high-performance computing for aerospace and defense applications. The collaboration, unveiled at a seminar in Bengaluru, focuses on leveraging Altera’s Agilex 9 Direct RF FPGA technology to drive innovation in mission-critical systems.
The event, titled “Advancing Mission-Critical Applications with Altera’s Direct RF FPGAs,” saw participation from industry leaders, including representatives from DRDO, ISRO, HAL, and BEL. Dr. B K Das, DG ECS, DRDO, highlighted the importance of industry collaboration in advancing defense technologies. Sharadhi Babu, President of Defense Business at AXISCADES, outlined the company’s vision for indigenous innovation in next-generation defense solutions.
A key highlight of the seminar was the launch of Mistral’s SOSA-aligned 3U VPX Processing Engines, powered by Altera’s Agilex 9 Direct RF FPGA. These cutting-edge processing cards are designed for rugged environments and offer high-performance computing, ultra-low latency, and real-time data acquisition capabilities.

Mr. D Murali Krishnan, CEO of Mistral, emphasized the partnership’s potential to accelerate defense technology innovation. “By integrating Altera’s FPGA technology, we are revolutionizing mission-critical applications with unmatched processing power and efficiency,” he said.
John Sotir, General Manager of Altera’s Military, Aerospace & Government Group, added, “Our Agilex 9 Direct RF FPGAs provide Mistral’s customers with the critical SWAP capabilities needed for next-generation aerospace and defense applications.”
Mistral also unveiled its technology roadmap, featuring advanced products for Electronic Warfare, Radar, SIGINT, and 5G/6G communication infrastructure. These innovations promise to redefine real-time defense systems with high-speed processing and rugged design.
