A six-year contract to enhance Pune’s safety with advanced AI technology

Mumbai, October 8, 2024 – Allied Digital Services Limited, a global IT leader, has received the Pune Safe City Project (FY 2024). The project is valued at over Rs. 430 crore. This project aims to improve security across Pune with cutting-edge technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern surveillance systems.

Key Highlights of the Pune Safe City Project

Six-Year Contract with Major Upgrades

Allied Digital will collaborate with the Pune Police and the Government of Maharashtra to improve the city’s security infrastructure. The project will introduce over 4,000 AI-enabled cameras at more than 1,400 locations across Pune. The cameras will help monitor critical areas and enhance the city’s surveillance capabilities.

Advanced AI Systems for Better Monitoring

The Pune Safe City Project will feature sophisticated technology. This includes video analytics, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), vehicle speed detection, and facial recognition. Drones and mobile surveillance vans will also be used to provide real-time monitoring.

Improved Command Centers

A major part of the project is upgrading the city’s Command-and-Control Center at the Police Commissioner’s office. The Data Center will be enhanced to improve efficiency and allow for 24/7 real-time surveillance. New monitoring stations will also be set up at police stations and government offices for better coordination.
