Taj Hotels Expands to Mysuru

IHCL Brings Iconic Taj Brand to the Heritage City

Mysuru, India – The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Mysuru. This marks the Taj brand’s first hotel in Mysuru, a city famous for its palaces, heritage, and tourism.

The 141-room Taj Mysore is located at the foot of Chamundi Hills, offering stunning views of Mysore Palace. Spread over 5.03 acres, the hotel will feature heritage-style architecture, world-class dining, a spa, a gym, and a swimming pool. Guests can also host events in a banquet hall spanning 11,000 sq. ft.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, EVP of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said Mysuru is evolving into a diversified hospitality market due to its growing IT and manufacturing sectors. She highlighted that Mysuru serves as a gateway to Coorg, Kabini, Bandipur, and Ooty, attracting both domestic and international tourists.

IHCL is partnering with DM South India Hospitality for this project. Mr. Sushen Mohan Gupta, Director of the company, said Taj Mysore will enhance the city’s luxury travel experience and contribute to its tourism potential.

With this addition, IHCL now has 23 hotels in Karnataka, including 10 under development. Taj Mysore is set to become a landmark hotel in the city, blending heritage with modern luxury.
