A New Era of Rail Travel
The new Hubballi Pune Vande Bharat train marks a significant leap in rail connectivity between Karnataka and Maharashtra. This service, the 10th Vande Bharat train for Karnataka, will operate between Pune and SSS Hubballi. It will cut down travel time by three hours, covering 557 kilometers in just 8.5 hours.
Receiving Ceremony at Belagavi
On September 16, 2024, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, Shri V. Somanna, will welcome the inaugural run of the Pune-SSS Hubballi Vande Bharat Express at Belagavi railway station. The South Western Railway (SWR) will also hold ceremonies at Dharwad and SSS Hubballi stations.
Advanced Features and Scenic Route
The Hubballi Pune Vande Bharat train will offer a fast, comfortable journey. It will have advanced features like an 8-coach chair car configuration. This configuration accommodates 530 passengers. Travelers will enjoy scenic views of the agricultural regions, including Belagavi’s sugarcane belt and the beautiful Satara district.
Train Schedule and Key Stops
The tri-weekly Pune-SSS Hubballi Vande Bharat Express will run every Thursday, Saturday, and Monday, starting from September 19, 2024. The train will depart Pune at 14:15 hrs and reach Hubballi at 22:45 hrs.
The return service will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It will leave Hubballi at 05:00 hrs. It will arrive in Pune at 13:30 hrs. Key stops along the way include Satara, Sangli, Miraj, Belagavi, and Dharwad.
