The Kinetic Group, a leading automotive components manufacturer, has unveiled its state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facility under the brand name Range-X in Ahmednagar. With an investment of Rs. 50 crore, the facility is set to produce 60,000 high-performance battery packs annually, catering to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
The facility will manufacture both Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries, customisable for two- and three-wheeler EVs. These batteries will not only serve Kinetic Group’s needs but also be supplied to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Equipped with advanced Lithium Ion Phosphate (LFP) technology, Range-X batteries offer stable chemical composition, reducing the risk of thermal runaway and ensuring peak performance in extreme temperatures. The eco-conscious design uses non-toxic, recyclable materials, aligning with sustainability goals. Additionally, the NMC batteries boast exceptional energy density, providing longer-lasting power for diverse applications.
