IHCL Signs Vivanta Hotel in Mysuru to Boost City’s Hospitality Landscape

The 115-key greenfield project near Hebbal Industrial Area will enhance Mysuru’s tourism and business travel options.

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Vivanta hotel in Mysuru. This greenfield project, developed in partnership with the Farah Group, reinforces IHCL’s commitment to expanding in cultural and economic hubs across India.

Strategically located near the Hebbal Industrial Area, the 115-key Vivanta Mysuru will feature modern amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, a stylish bar, a fully equipped gym, and a swimming pool. Designed to serve both leisure and business travellers, the hotel will also offer versatile meeting and event spaces suitable for conferences and social gatherings.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, highlighted Mysuru’s growing importance: “With its rich cultural heritage and thriving economy, Mysuru continues to evolve as a key urban centre. The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway has further enhanced connectivity, making the city an attractive destination for both business and tourism. We are delighted to partner with the Farah Group on this exciting project.”

Liaquath Ali Khan, Managing Director of Farah Builders, expressed pride in the collaboration, saying, “This Vivanta hotel will meet Mysuru’s growing hospitality needs while adding a contemporary hub for the city.”

Mysuru, renowned for landmarks such as the Mysuru Palace, Chamundi Hills, and Brindavan Gardens, attracts millions of domestic and international tourists annually. With this addition, IHCL will have 26 hotels in Karnataka, including 12 under development, strengthening its footprint in the state.

Founded in 1903 by Jamsetji Tata, IHCL operates globally under brands such as Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger. The company has a portfolio of 388 hotels, including 139 under development, across 14 countries and 150+ locations.
